How to look stylish when travelling
Travel season is upon us! Whether you’re jet-setting to a hot country or exploring your home country, your wardrobe should be adventure-ready. Strut through the airport in style, soak up sun on the beach, and discover new places looking and feeling your best.
Comfortable travel outfits
For easy and comfortable travel outfits, it’s all about layering. From home to destination and back, temperatures can change dramatically when travelling so it’s a good idea to be prepared by wearing a look you can easily add a layer to, or take one away.
A great way to look stylish while travelling is to choose a monochrome look. By wearing a single colour, or shades from the same colour, you create a cohesive look that’s easy to mix and match, making your life that much more simple while travelling. Plus, you’ll also feel effortlessly pulled together.
What to wear at the airport?
Airport dressing is comfort first, but that doesn’t mean you should have to skimp on the style. Choose pieces that are versatile, and can double up as blankets for when you’re (hopefully not) delayed before taking off.
A lambswool wrap is extra cosy for cocooning up in when the person sitting next to you refuses to turn the AC off on the plane. It also looks so good, whether it’s paired with linen pants/trousers or your favourite jeans. Adding a wrap to your travel wardrobe means you can go from the airport onto your adventure in a swish.
What clothes to pack for a holiday
Going away for a few days or soaking up the sun for a couple of weeks. Your destination & length of stay will determine what you bring on holiday. However, whether you’re backpacking from city to city or going all-inclusive, there are a few essentials you should always pack in your luggage.
Our brand stylist, Chloe, recommends:
- Choosing dresses, tops and trousers in light weight, breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen
- Packing trousers so you can move about easily
- Picking loose, flowy pieces like an oversized shirt
- Always travel with a blanket scarf or wrap for extra warmth (also doubles as a comfy pillow!).
Capsule wardrobes for travelling
In our modest opinion, a capsule wardrobe is a great way to pack for a holiday. Choosing mix and match basics that can be paired together to create different looks means more space in your suitcase for souvenirs.
Staycation essentials
Not travelling far for your summer holiday? There’s so much to explore right on our doorstep that a staycation can be just as exciting as going abroad. Stay adventure ready with a lightweight picnic blanket that can slide right into a backpack, handbag, or carried with the built-in strap to make any spot your spot.
