TBCo Fringe Festival Favourites: What shows to see in Edinburgh
We’ve waited patiently, marked our calendars and counted down the days, and finally, Fringe Festival season is upon us. It’s the event of the year, and we’re all abuzz here at TBCo. If you’re visiting Edinburgh this August, then experiencing the Fringe is essential.
With the Fringe Festival being at the top of our summer itinerary, we’ve bookmarked some of our must-see shows - so whether you’re a seasoned fringe veteran looking for a new show to catch, or it’s your first time at the festival, here are TBCo’s Fringe Festival favourites.
What shows to see at the Fringe Festival
If we could, we’d be attending all the shows at the fringe - but we’ve done our best to condense hundreds of listings into our top five favourites.
A futuristic three-day music festival (crafted in just 60 minutes) is in your hands at this five-star rated comedy-music show. Your suggestions are used to shape a set that merges innovation, improvisation and technology in one hilarious live performance.

If you can see only one show at the Fringe, the Best of the Fest is for you. Experience a variety of comedians in a single night, with a mixed lineup that includes Jason Bryne, Troy Hawke and Jessie Cave. We recommend this show for Fringe newbies or for those who are after a whistlestop tour of Edinburgh.
Tickets from £13.50 | Assembly Hall, The Mound
For something a little different, Tutu is a homage to dance and a satire on the stereotypes that come with it. The juxtaposition of graceful ballet - choreographed by Philippe Lafeullie - with the ‘playful eye’ of our lead character Tutu, this show makes ‘dance accessible to all’.

You know that as TikTok stars ourselves, we’d recommend Knock Knock - a showcase of the social media platform’s biggest comedy stars - it’s like seeing a multi-million-viewed video, but in real life - and just as hilarious.
Tickets from £11 | Pleasance Courtyard, Cabaret Bar

La Clique is a Fringe favourite, and is so popular it had a sell-out run last year. A mixture of circus, comedy and cabaret, this is a ‘magnificent new collection of extraordinary artists and unmissable favourites’. Olivier Award-winning and globally touring, this is a show you won’t want to miss.
Tickets from £20 | Underbelly’s Circus Hub on the Meadows - The Beauty
